Want to know how to create moveable images just like Josh’s sandwich for your online real estate marketing efforts? This is something that we just recently started implementing with our own sites and marketing materials, and it has had an amazing effect on conversion rates.
Thanks to Screencast-O-Matic, this process is easier than ever to setup. First, you’ll want to use your webcam to shoot a quick video of yourself. Or, feel free to use a video camera if you intend to produce footage away from your computer screen.
Find a way to make your content funny, engaging, shocking, etc. in order to utilize this technique as a perfect pattern interrupt. Once you have your real estate marketing video created, your next step will be to record a short screen cast of the video using Screencast-O-Matic.
How to Use Screencast-O-Matic
At their home page you will see the blue “Start Recording” button that you can select to start producing a free screen cast. A screen recorder box will then come up that is very user friendly. Record your desired length and then select “done” (Note: Be sure to keep this to about 15 seconds or less to control the file size).
Next, you can choose “Save to Video File” and then you will select the file type “gif.” Once this has been saved to your computer, you will then want to upload this to your real estate marketing blog so that the file can be posted to your desired location. Grab the html that your site provides for this image, and then use the following image source code.
Copy and paste this anywhere that html is accepted, and your image will now actively loop right before your eyes. Pretty simple isn’t it? And the best part about this is that you can easily make your marketing stand out above the competition. For example:
- Use the gif as a part of your lead generation forms
- Add these to your blog posts to keep visitors engaged
- Place this code in your Craigslist ads along with a call to action straight to a landing page
And I think you get the idea. Be creative with this real estate marketing tactic and have a little fun. Anytime that you are able to do something that is a little outside of the norm, you are separating yourself from the pack and increasing your chances of generating more leads and business. Good luck!
